Namibia to offer Visa on Arrival from April 1 to boost Investment and Tourism

Namibia will introduce a visa-on-arrival policy for international investors and tourists starting April 1, 2025, in a bid to streamline entry procedures, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and position itself as a prime destination for business and leisure travellers. Speaking in the capital, Windhoek, Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board CEO Nangula Uaandja described the policy as a strategic shift in the country’s global engagement and economic development efforts. By aligning with international best practices, Namibia aims to gain a competitive edge over regional peers with more restrictive visa policies.

The mineral-rich southern African nation is also positioning itself as a leader in green hydrogen production, using renewable energy to generate this sustainable fuel. At the same time, Namibia is focused on developing its oil and gas resources, further enhancing its appeal to global investors. With its vast landscapes, diverse wildlife, and adventure tourism offerings, the country is expected to attract both business and leisure travellers, strengthening its role as a regional hub. By easing entry restrictions, Namibia is taking a bold step toward fostering economic growth and reinforcing its reputation as an investment-friendly nation.
