Shootout At Moz-SA Border
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) is establishing a board of inquiry to investigate a shooting that took place on Sunday between its soldiers and the Mozambican border police.
Following the incident Mozambique has claimed that two of its officers were fatally wounded in the incident. However, SANDF has only confirmed that no SANDF members were killed.
Commenting on the incident Mozambique police spokesperson Juarse Martins stated, “Both the deceased are Mozambican police members. Our police force and its South African counterpart are holding a joint meeting to establish the real causes that led to that incident.”
