South African man to break world record for living in a barrel
A South African man is set to the break his own world record for sitting in a barrel propped 25 metres above the ground.
Vernon Kruger first broke the Guinness world record himself in 1997, with 54 days spent in the barrel. On this attempt, he will have spent 67 days in the barrel by the end of Monday.
He said in an interview that the most difficult part was trying to sleep
“I cannot stretch out, I have to lie in the foetal position and even that is virtually impossible because it is really tiny… I wake up quite stiff with pain.”
