Zimbabwe journalist awaits bail for tweet on gold scandal

Zimbabwe journalist Hopewell Chin’ono bail hearings are to continue on Wednesday after a magistrate rejected his lawyer’s application to end his placement on remand.

His lawyers had argued that he had not committed a crime.

Mr Chin’ono was arrested on 3 November and charged with obstruction of justice over a tweet about a gold smuggling case.
