'Power cut leaves Malawi civil service at standstill'

The power supply to a government building in the city of Blantyre in Malawi has been cut off, according to the Nation newspaper.

The newspaper says some of the offices in the building include immigration, tourism and information.

The country's power supplier Escom has reportedly cut off power because of unpaid bills, the Nation reports.

It tweeted a photo of the building.
