SA sends envoy to Lesotho amid political crisis
By Will Ross
South African politician Jeff Radebe is in Lesotho to try to help resolve a political crisis involving Prime Minister Thomas Thabane, who is being investigated over allegations that he played a role in his estranged wife's murder.
Lipolelo Thabane was shot dead in 2017, two days before Mr Thabane's inauguration.
The police have also issued an arrest warrant for the first lady, Maesaiah Thabane, who is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder but is reported to have gone into hiding.
Both the governing party and the opposition have called for the prime minister to step down.
