Senegal, Algeria Prepare for AFCON Final

The Senegalese and Algerian national teams are preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final scheduled for Friday July 19 after winning their semi-final matches this weekend. 

Algeria beat Nigeria 2-1, while Senegal defeated Tunisia 1-0. Nigeria and Tunisia will also go head-to-head this week to compete for third place on Wednesday July 17.

If Senegal is victorious it will be the first time the nation has won the tournament. Algeria has won the title on one previous occasion.

Missing out on the big match will be Senegal’s Koulibaly, however, after the player was given two yellow cards.
