Stage Set for Cosafa Women’s Final

The stage is now set for the South African and Zambian national women’s teams to go head-to-head in the 2019 Cosafa Women’s Championship final. 

The match will take place at the Wolfson Stadium in Nelson Mandela Bay on Sunday.

South Africa’s Banyana Banyana qualified for the final following a 3-1 victory over Zimbabwe, while Zambia reached the final with a 4-0 win against Botswana.  

It is the first time Zambia’s Shepolopolo will feature in the final. The South African side are the reigning champions, having won in 2017 and 2018.

Meanwhile the inaugural Under 20 Championship final will take place between Zambia and Tanzania, with Zimbabwe and South Africa competing for the bronze-medal position.
