2019 Netball World Cup Concludes

 The 2019 Netball World Cup has drawn to a close. The Ugandan national team finished in seventh place, an improvement on their 2015 ranking of eighth. Meanwhile, South Africa recorded the strongest performance among participating African nations, finishing fourth.

South Africa’s Carla Pretorius was named player of the tournament for her performance. In addition Telkom has announced that it will award each team player R200,000 for their performance.

Malawi finished in sixth, while Zimbabwe finished in eighth during the team’s first appearance.

The tournament took place in England, with a total of sixteen nations competing. New Zealand won the title, with Australia taking silver and England bronze.
