CAF President Under Questioning

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ahmad Ahmad was questioned by authorities in France "in relation to allegations related to his mandate while President of Caf," following his attendance of the 69th Fifa Congress.

While Fifa has confirmed the questioning, no further details have officially been shared at this stage. However, reports suggest that Ahmad is accused of having influenced a contract that CAF terminated with Puma in favour of Technical Steel for financial benefit. Ahmad denies the allegations and was released by French anti-corruption officials on Thursday evening. 

Ahmad’s questioning comes just two weeks ahead of the African Cup of Nations 2019 finals expected tot take place in Egypt
