Nigeria & Cameroon Qualify For Knockouts At Women’s World Cup

While the South African national team has departed following the group stages of the Fifa Women’s World Cup, the Nigerian and Cameroonian sides have progressed to the knockout stage.

Nigeria’s qualification comes after Thailand beat Chile 2-0, leaving Nigeria one of the highest placed teams to rank third in their group.

Meanwhile, Cameroon secured their place with a 2-1 win against New Zealand, with the winning goal scored just seconds before the end of the match.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will now face Germany on June 22, while Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses are set to play England on June 23.
