Three African Players Share Golden Boot

This year’s Premier League Golden Boot, which goes to the English Premier League’s top goal scorer, has been jointly awarded to three African players.

Sadio Mane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mohamed Salah jointly share the honour, having scored 22 goals each during the recently concluded season for their teams. Mane and Salah represent Liverpool F.C., while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang plays for Arsenal.

Liverpool finished the season in second position, missing out to Manchester City by just one point. Arsenal ranked fifth below Chelsea and Tottenham.

Salah has now won the golden boot two seasons running, having securing the award last year with a record breaking 32 goals.
