AFCON 2019 Latest

As the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) enters its fifth day defending champions Cameroon are set to take on Guinea Bissau at the Ismailia Stadium in Egypt. Meanwhile, Ghana face Benin.

Yesterday saw Ivory Coast secure a 1-0 victory against South Africa, while Tunisia and Angola drew 1-1 and Mali beat Mauritania 4-1.

On Sunday, Algeria beat Kenya 2-0, Senegal claimed victory over Tanzania 2-0, and Morocco defeated Namibia 1-0 with an own goal from the Namibian side.

On Saturday Uganda won out over DR Congo 2-0, while Nigeria secured victory over tournament debutants Burundi 1-0, and Guinea and Madagascar drew 2-2.

The tournament opened on Friday 21 with hosts Egypt taking on Zimbabwe, securing a 1-0 victory with a goal from Mahmoud Trezeguet.
